Recently I became friends with a very bright and successful individual who worked for PF in an endeavor unrelated to OPK in the recent past. I have my own opinions of PF from "back in the day" with shadings from the recent past......but was wondering what this very insightful person would say about the more current PF.
I asked, "I know he doesn't have a dog named Checkers, but did you ever think he was a crook?" Answer: an emphatic "No." What trait was most evident? "Negotiating....always for a better deal...beyond what might be considered reasonable." What's most important to PF? "His reputation." (One hopes his reputation includes a successful OPK in the foreseeable future.)
I also learned some other personal things not germane to OPK but to be expected of a person of great wealth.
That's it. I don't speculate and project character and intellectual traits. I base them on personal knowledge, public record and..... potentially reliable sources (as here). This could explain the rumors of PF turning down some buyouts in the past as not being lucrative enough.
Of course, like lots of things you read here....this is possibly interesting but not necessarily correct. I thought it was worth sharing with that caveat. Ma
