LFTB: The sentence was in response to a theme that several of the Yahoo Opko Bashers had put forward. They claimed the rise in share price from $0.89 to $1.23 on news of the partial BRL sale was a flash in the plan and not sustainable.

It seems to me if one wanted to discuss issues posted on the Yahoo board one would post their comments on the actual Yahoo board, but then I'm not "The Head of a Wall Street Bond Trading Desk"

Dr. Cohen is an intelligent man and excellent doctor. he was great at the beginning of the pandemic, but he tried to ride the lab testing train too long. In the end of teh pandemic Brl was worse than when it started. When Dr. Zerhouni came in he knew he wasn't ever going to be CEO. He is doing much better as CEO of TALK where he doesn't have to manage a large organization but just hire people to hire people to listen to Gen Zer's complain.

When you post patent nonsense like this over on romper room, it can only mean one of two things. Either you have some vested interest in reading the Opko entrails (and make no mistake: the slaughter of shareholders by cowboy Frost, eviscerating some of their wealth with his dual six-shooters of terrible decision making and horrid execution, has been so bloody that there is unequivocal evidence that he has knowingly murdered his last corporate child)...in such a way as to cast aspersions and blame on everyone except those responsible, namely the wrecking crew in Miami. Or you are truly incapable of assessing corporate developments accurately, and therefore are not credible.

You have no proof that BRLI was worse at the end of the pandemic than when it started. Sure, you will point to losses that came after the ~$87 million in net income booked during the pandemic. And the bloated cost structure. But remember, Frost was still CEO, the supposed brains of the operation. And, no one has EVER been able to decipher the sanguinary innards of Opko's finances to determine how cash flows are allocated. At any time. They are hidden by the man who won't accept responsibility for the wholesale destruction of a public company. And, there is 100% provable evidence of that FACT: the share price.

You can make disparage Jon Cohen and his new company all you wish. But he and Stueland are now two alumni of Opko who have gone on to better things. Maybe they weren't the problem.

Although I never met him, I like Dr. Cohen. I believe he is an "intelligent man and excellent doctor." I know you don't like math, but you should run the BRL numbers from 2018 to 2023. Especially after you acknowledge the "bloated cost structure."

I do think TALK is something of a joke. Have you read their May 1st "Rebranding PR?"

Opko was ~$7 when the Prolor deal was announced late April 2013, and was $8.49 when the deal closed 8/29/13, on which date 63.67 million shares of Opko stock was 'delivered' in conjunction with the purchase.

A lot has happened in the Opko universe in the intervening 11 years. And even compared to your presumed cost of ~$7-8 for Opko back then, the current price is a mere fraction of what it was. While I don't know what the share count was on 8/29/13, we do know that when the 2013 10-K was filed on 2/24/14, there were 412,922,864 shares outstanding. Using that number, Opko's market cap on the day the Prolor transaction closed in late August 2013 was $3.5 billion. Today it is $923.5 million, or 26% of what it was nearly 11 years ago.

I have no problem with math, sir master of the Yahoo sandbox. You, sir, either have a problem with reality, or refuse to accept it, or are assiduously attempting to deflect away from it, or alter it, for some reason. Otherwise, the answer as to why Opko is worth one-quarter of what it was more than a decade ago would be crystal clear. In fact, obvious. And no math is required.

Now, I'm no Ed Witten, but it seems like all the sentient matter in our galaxy, save one, no two, agglomeration of atoms, has concluded that if we remove just a single variable from the Opko equation, the asymptotic curve that has been headed toward zero for more than a decade would miraculously turn upwards.

LFTB: I know. As I recall the exchange was close to 1 for 1 and by bais was ~$6/share. It took a couple of weeks to actually get my shares exchanged and teh share price went up a bit.

That's the basic between us. You waste your time writing insults and screeds about Dr. Frost and me. The simple fact is "Only God and perhaps Dr. Frost know when he will step down as CEO of Opko. I accept that. You would rather rant, pout, insult, and complain.

What the hell are you talking about? Try to keep up. The deal terms for Prolor are irrelevant to this subject. Their only pertinence relates to the number of shares issued. Period. The price paid has nothing to do with anything. Again, the sale consideration for Prolor has no bearing on this topic. My goodness, you can't be that daft. Or can you? And 'how much of that $3.5B still exists'? Huh? Still exists? Where? Like in some other dimension perhaps? Now I'm beginning to understand the profound lack of depth in your ability to analyze equities, especially when it comes to M&A. Sheesh.

Wasting time? The only time wasters are the one or two people left in this sector of the galaxy, and only you on this board, who post about such incisive topics, the majority of which are the quintessence of non sequiturs, like God and Frost planning his exit.

Perhaps a couple YouTube videos about investing, or some articles written by my son might help you. Although I seriously doubt you could comprehend the latter. But maybe some of this would be a better use of time for a grandfather than posting daily closes on Yahoo, or total rubbish here.

$1.30 (after hours) isn't a rant. Or a pout. Or an insult, other than to shareholders. Or, least of all, is it a complaint. It's a reality. Or maybe some recompense for the hypnotic trance possessing you, beyond comprehension, for the stream of consciousness posts, with dizzying confusion and conflation of very simple historical facts and figures which are clearly way above your....pay grade.

If you could take a few weeks, or months, and pen a few cogent paragraphs that explain your investment thesis for Opko, maybe we could have an intelligent exchange. And, freshman year break up value bull crap is NOT investment analysis Baggie.

How much of that $3.5 billion still exists........Laughable. I have to go; speaking of bags, there is a bag of hammers which is beckoning me with a more sensible conversation.
